It all begins with an idea. Our family loves taking our pets on adventures! Recently, we visited a very remote beach and were overwhelmed by the amount of plastic trash on the beach. The locals let us know they had spent time and resources to haul it off, but it just rolled back with the ocean tides. This made our hearts sink. We had to try and make a difference, somehow…

Since 1978, our family has been involved in the pet industry, and we have a well-respected veterinary in the family. We had all the elements to make a difference within the industry. After brainstorming for months, we decided to curb plastic consumption through redesigning a product that usually comes in a plastic bottle. This product is shampoo.

We researched what was already available on the market and decided what was currently offered was lacking. Many times, we could not find the ingredient lists, where the product was made, if the sourced ingredients were sustainable, or if the entire product was ecofriendly. This concerned us. We wanted to develop a product with traceable ingredients, safe ingredients, eco-friendly packaging and crafetedin the USA (even the packaging) with globally sourced sustainable ingredients.
